After searching on MS website, I found out that you have to go into File -open the email account - click change - go to " more settings" and then choose the tab you want to customize: sent, deleted, or received emails and customize how Outlook handles them.
Instructions for customizing an email account and how it handles sent or received mail would be very helpful in the Set Up Email section in section 11 This book doesn't include any instructions or helpful hints that indicate the user CAN customize these Outlook account settings, which seems like a pretty basic set-up instruction that would help many new Outlook users avoid a LOT of frustration trying to figure out why sent emails aren't being saved and where their deleted messages go.
Hence the 3 star rating, because even after combing through this book and not finding a solution to my query, I still had to search online to find the solution; found out many others had the same difficulty with Outlook I too have liked the Missing Manuals, but this book is very succinct and graphic and correct. I got the Word, Outlook, Office versions at the library and have studied all three and think they are all excellent.
